June 2026 Newsletter

Welcome to our June 2026 Newsletter!

As winter begins and the colder months settle in, I am reminded of the warmth and compassion that God calls His people to demonstrate. This month, our church has the wonderful privilege of partnering with Stable One Yarra Valley Winter Shelter Program to support some of the most vulnerable members of our community. We are hosting six guests tonight, they are currently being served dinner at the moment as I write this newsletter, praise God for this amazing opportunity to live out our church calling to Love God and Love Others!

Jesus reminds us: “For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in.”(Matthew 25:35 NKJV)

As followers of Christ, we are called not only to proclaim the Gospel with our words but also to demonstrate His love through practical acts of service. Our involvement in the Winter Shelter Program provides an opportunity to do exactly that. Whether through prayer, encouragement, hospitality, volunteering, or simply learning more about the needs around us, we can all play a part in reflecting the love of Jesus to those experiencing hardship.

Please continue praying for Stable One, the guests who will be supported through the shelter, the volunteers serving behind the scenes, and for God to use this ministry to bring hope, dignity, and transformation to many lives.

This month also marks the beginning of an exciting new sermon series through the Book of Romans. Over the coming weeks, we will journey through one of the most profound books in Scripture as we explore God’s grace, humanity’s need for salvation, the righteousness of God, and the hope we have through Jesus Christ.

As a church family, let us continue to love God wholeheartedly and love others. Let us remain united in prayer, generous in service, and eager to share the hope we have in Christ. Thank you for being part of what God is doing here at Liberty Family Church. It is a joy and privilege to serve alongside you.

You’ll find below some key opportunities this month to connect, grow, and serve. I encourage you not only to be involved, but also to consider who you might invite a friend, a neighbour, or a family member.

Printed copies of this newsletter are also available in the foyer for those who prefer them.

My prayer for you this month comes from Romans 1:16 NKJV: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” Like Paul, may we not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ as we share the hope that we have in Him.

Your friend and pastor,

Garry
