May 2026 Newsletter

Welcome to our May 2026 newsletter!

As we enter this new month together, we pause to give thanks to God and honour the women He has placed in our lives— mothers, wives, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, and the many faithful women who quietly and powerfully shape our homes, our church, and our faith.

This month, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we are reminded that behind so many lives of faith are women who have prayed, persevered, and pointed others to Christ. From the Scriptures, we see inspiring examples of women like Mary, who walked in humble obedience; Ruth, who showed steadfast loyalty; Deborah, who led with courage; and Hannah, who poured out her heart in prayer. Their lives remind us that God works mightily through those who trust Him.

At the same time, we recognise that this season can bring mixed emotions. For some, Mother’s Day is a time of joy and gratitude; for others, it may carry grief, longing, or difficult memories. As a church family, we stand together…rejoicing with those who rejoice, and walking gently with those who are hurting. May the Lord, who is near to the brokenhearted, minister His comfort and peace to every heart.

As always, I want to encourage us to continue living out our calling: to love God and love others. Let us honour the women in our lives not only with words, but through Christ-like love, gratitude, and intentional care. And as a church, may we continue to be a community where every person is valued, supported, and encouraged to grow in their walk with the Lord.

You’ll find below some key opportunities this month to connect, grow, and serve. I encourage you not only to be involved, but also to consider who you might invite a friend, a neighbour, or a family member, especially as we celebrate this meaningful season together.

To stay updated throughout the month, you can visit our website Liberty Family Church or via email communication. Printed copies of this newsletter are also available in the foyer for those who prefer them.

My prayer for you this month comes from Proverbs 31:30: “Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” May we all grow in reverence for the Lord and reflect His grace in our lives.

Your friend and pastor,

Garry
