If you were an ant, a puppy would seem huge. If you were a puppy, a person would seem huge. As a person, I think the universe is huge!
Perspective is an interesting thing, and as a Christian, I believe it is vital to keep things in perspective.
James 4:14 says:
"You do not even know what will happen tomorrow! What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."
The time we have on this earth is so short in light of eternity and I am consistently challenged by this...
I want my life to count for something. I want Jesus to be pleased with how I spent my time on earth.
Therefore, I believe it is important to continually keep things in perspective. How I spend each of my days has an eternal consequence, not just a temporal one, and therefore I choose to continually ask myself the question - 'Does this really matter in light of eternity?'
I challenge you to consider your perspective on things this week, and maybe ask yourself the question - 'Does this really matter in light of eternity?'
